Which one?

I bought some wonderful black merino-silk-cashmere yarn in Tallin, approximately 1100 meters, which aught to be enough for one of the following three cardigans with three quarters of a sleeve. Now the question is which one would look best in black. Opinions?

Effervescence Cardigan?

A second option is crocheting a broomstick lace front and stockinette stitch back and sleeves, but it's a bit of a risk considering the yardage. Would be nice tho, Chanel style...

Tatted case goes to Tallinn

I started this project to get my tatting speed up. It turned out a great project to do so, and I'm quite happy with the result. As usual, the photo does not do the colours justice.

In a few days I'll be on a ferry to Tallinn teaching this technique together with a few knitted buttonholes. See you there I hope!

Oh dear

Apparently I forgot to swatch. I'm pretty sure it's not weight loss ;) It's a beautiful top but it's not supposed to have all this positive ease...

The greatest mystery tho, that I forgot to swatch..

Cabernet Infinity Scarf

Sweetheart, take mum's picture, will you?

..and a close-up, please?

Ok, thanks, now give me my iPhone back!

Better take one indoors too.

I enjoyed knitting Cabernet Infinity Scarf by Monika Sirna, and I love wearing it. I used Manos Silk Blend which is really soft to the touch. Love the cabernet pattern and was inspired to put it in a cardigan. We'll see. Too many inspirations right now ;)

Ooops a shawl I forgot to blog :O

The Torild shawl is a sort of chunky echo flower/laminaria inspired shawl, only using the echo flowers and making it a chunky piece. The yarn is tremendously soft and warm. It's been finished a few months now, but I seem to have forgotten to blog it ?! As u can see, there is a christmas tree behind it ;)

Remembering

The knitting event "Stickfest i Väst" is long ago passed, and since then I've filled my time with lots of birthday parties and family events, not until now have I had a chance to think about how nice and busy the weekend was, keeping two workshops with wonderful participants! :)

My friend Petra released her new online shop, Magasin Duett, selling the most beautiful vintage buttons.

And now I have had the opportunity to relax a bit and start spinning again, this time silk hankies, dyed by Vickevira. It's my first time spinning silk and I find the fiber interestingly elastic and incredibly strong. My plan is to spin a thicker thread of pink merino to ply it with.

Nail art

Nail art is such a crafty artistic activity. My dear friend Kathleen made me these for my 40th birthday :)

Shadows of a rose and a hummingbird

Shortly I will be keeping a class in this technique. Illusion knitting, or shadow knitting, it's called. Although it's quite easy it keeps you busy. It's that just-one-more-row type of knitting.

Knitting Pinup Tattoo

Can I just say I simply adore it? No regrets, I assure you ;)
